Once you have created your chart data in Excel worksheet, you can quickly create your chart in few steps.

1.    Select the cells containing data you want to be charted.

2.    Click on the Insert tab to open Insert Ribbon bar with Chart options.

3.    Select your required chart type in the Charts group. It will automatically generate the chart for you.

4.    You are able to apply any style or design to your chart and edit it at any time you require. Clicking on the chart area displays all the available design tools for your selected chart, or you can go directly on the Design tab to change the look of your chart.

5.    Click on the title of chart to edit any title you want it to be.

By default, the series become the x-axis and elements become y-axis of the chart.  Design and Format tabs provide more tools to edit look of your chart.

You can make your desktop icons transparent by following these steps:

1. Click on Start menu button.
2. Select Control Panel. (Set your option to display in Category View, for this click Switch to Category View on let top corner of window.)
3. Select System to open System Properties window.
4. Select Advanced tab.
5. In Performance section, click Settings button.
6. Here in Performance Options window, choose Visual Effects tab.
7. Here in list, uncheck the option Use drop shades for icon labels on the Desktop.
8. Click Apply and Ok buttons.

Follow the steps to change paper size in MS Word 2007:

1. Activate the page for which you want to change the size of page.
2. Click on the Page Layout menu.
3. Click Size button arrow in Page Setup section. It shows the available sizes of page. That you can select for your page.
4. You can also choose More Paper Sizes in the bottom of list or click on right corner arrow sign that opens Page Setup window if you don’t see your desired size in the list.
5. In Page Setup window, select Paper tab.
6. In Paper Size area, select the type of your document for which you want to change the paper size, i.e. Letter and customize any size in Width and Height text box.
7. Click Ok button.

Though it saves your printing cost if you set this option disabled (it saves the printing ink and increases the speed of printing with stronger quality), but it may not be your choice every time you take print. You can change your default setting in accordance with your requirement.

To set the Internet Explorer print background colors every time, make the following changes in settings:

1. Open Internet Explorer.
2. Navigate through Tools menu to click Internet Options.
3. Select Advanced tab.
4. Scroll down to find out Printing option.
5. Check the option Print background colors and images.
6. Click Apply and Ok button.

You can add sound files to make your text document speak by following these simple steps:

1. When you are in the document, put the cursor where you want to place the audio file.
2. Choose Insert tab from menu.
3. In Text section, click Object button.
4. It opens the Object window. Select Create from File tab.
5. Brows your desired sound file by clicking the Brows button.
6. Click Ok button.

Sound file appears in your Word document with an icon of Speaker. You can edit or change this file anytime.

1. Go to My Computer.
2. Open the drive where your Windows is installed. Usually it is Drive C.
3. Make the contents of the drive if they are hidden. Click Show the Contents of this drive under System Tasks. It will show the hidden contents.
4. Open Documents and Setting folder by double click.
5. Now open the user folder by double click.
6. Right click on your folder in user profile, then click Properties.
7. Office Backup Properties window appears. Open the Sharing tab.
8. Check the box by clicking on it where you see Make this folder private.

It makes your folder private and nobody else can access your folder. In this way, nobody else using your system can avail your data. But you can not make folders private until unless you formatted your drive other than NTFS.

You receive Email message from an unknown sender that includes an attachment. When you try to download that attachment, it shows the error message that the attachment contains virus. Keep the following points in mind when you get to receive virus Email:

1. Such virus becomes active when it is double-clicked. Avoid double-clicking the infected Email /attachment.
2. Don’t try t download infected attachment and delete the message.
3. Such viruses scan the victim’s address book in their Email client program, like Outlook.
4. Once it becomes active, it automatically sends Emails to randomly selected Email addresses of senders and recipients from your address book and sends Emails to them carrying the same virus.
5. Once your virus is activated, your system probably starts behaving abnormal. It may result in either slow system speed, system files get corrupted, some or many of your folders damaged etc.
6. Such viruses are not recognized even if you are running virus scan program frequently. Even updated virus scan programs are of no worth to recognize all kind of viruses.
7. If you get such attachment messages, you should immediately remove it. Do not depend on your Email virus scan software to recognize and confirm it a virus.
8. These viruses are instantly spread and generally they are received by the people you know but the sender addresses are faked which you do not recognize.
9. The Email containing the virus attachment is not only the form of Email virus. You may receive the non-delivery notifications for the Email s that you did not sent.

In such situation, you should take the following steps:

1. Remove the infected Email message immediately so that it cannot be forwarded to more addresses. If it is not cured or removed, the cycle will continue to run and infect more computers.
2. Do keep a backup of your data along with an emergency boot disk for your computer. It prevents to lose the precious data due to virus attack.
3. Update your virus scan software. Though it may not recognize all kind of viruses but it is necessary to keep your system safe from many kinds of threats.
4. Many viruses have removal tool with them. If you find removal tool along with virus, you can download and then remove it by following the manual instructions carefully.
5. Contact immediately with a professional software expert to recognize the virus if you could not. It is necessary to send immediate report to the virus scan experts so that they produce some cure for that virus if it was not recognized before.

1. Right click on Google Talk shortcut.
2. Select Properties.
3. Choose Shortcut tab from this window.
4. In the Target text box, add /nomutex at the end of text or simply copy and paste the following text in Target text box replacing the original.    “c:\program files\google\google talk\googletalk.exe” /nomutex”
5. Click Ok button.

No need to restart computer. Your Google Talk has now turned into Multi Google Talk.

Or you may want anyone to take notice of your folder containing your personal data.

Yeah..it is possible.

You can create folders without names just by trying a simple trick:

1. Select your required folder by clicking it.
2. Right click on it and select Rename option.
3. Delete the old name of folder from text area.
4. Press Alt key and type 0160 in text area and press Enter key. But note that Alt key should not be released until you type all.

The text you typed in text area is not appeared and your folder remains without name.

• To inform you when a given task is completed, for instance, a file has copied/cut to another location.
• You switch between different menus/applications.
• You close or open an application.
• An error message is generated.
• Alert/warn you about different windows messages.

Such sounds disturb you when you are enjoying your favorite music with headphone in high volume or when somebody is taking sleep while you are working on computer with high volume. The easy solution to this issue is to turn off the beep sounds and alert sounds of your computer. It does not affect the other sound setting at all.

To turn off the system beeps, follow these steps:

1. Click on Start menu button and click Run.
2. Type regedit in Run window text box and click Ok button.
3. Registry Editor wizard appears. Navigate through HKEY_CURRENT_USER to Control Panel and then Sounds. It displays the available setting values for sound.
4. Double click Beep entry.
5. Edit String window appears. Edit the Value data: box by typing No.
6. Click Ok button, close the wizard and reboot the computer.

*Note: Making the desired settings through Registry Editor is easy though, but it may be dangerous in a way. If you edit the wrong entries in setting, it harms the other related settings of your system and Windows.
