MS Excel Shortcut Keys

Here is a combination of useful shortcut keys for efficient use of MS Excel.

Shortcuts with Combination of Ctrl+ Keys:

  • Ctrl + A – To select all Cells
  • Ctrl + B – To activate or deactivate Bold formatting
  • Ctrl + C – To copy select text, word, row or column
  • Ctrl + D – To fill down the selected cell
  • Ctrl + F – To display the Find what option
  • Ctrl + G – To apply run Go to dialog box
  • Ctrl + H – To display option of Find and Replace
  • Ctrl + I – To apply or remove Italic formatting
  • Ctrl + K – To insert Hyperlink dialog box
  • Ctrl + L – To insert create list dialog box
  • Ctrl + N – To create new file
  • Ctrl + O – To open new files
  • Ctrl + P – To display print dialog box
  • Ctrl + S – To save the active file
  • Ctrl + U – To activate or deactivate Underline formatting
  • Ctrl + V – To place the clipboard values
  • Ctrl + X – To cut the selected word
  • Ctrl + Y – To run previous action
  • Ctrl + Z – To undo the previous command

Function Keys in Excel:

  • F1 – To give help of any windows panel
  • F2 – To edit any cell
  • F3 – To insert name into formula
  • F4 – To repeat the previous command
  • F5 – To apply run Go to dialog box
  • F6 – To move between panel in worksheet
  • F7 – To check spelling in worksheet
  • F8 – To extend mode on the status line
  • F9 – To calculate the worksheets
  • F10 – To select main menu bar
  • F11 – To insert chart of active worksheet
  • F12 – To display Save As dialog box
