Inserting Sound or Music on a PowerPoint Slide

MS PowerPoint is software which helps to create presentations easily and in a systematic way. It enables its users to deliver their ideas in a good manner. Slides created in PowerPoint can have different types of information including text, graphics and clip arts. Have you ever thought of inserting sound or music on a slide?  Yes it is possible to insert sound or music on a PowerPoint slide. All you need to do is to follow the steps given below:

Display the slide on which you want to insert sound or music.

Point to “Movies and Sound” in the “Insert” menu. After you see a submenu appear in front of you, you will need to do any of the following steps.

If you want to insert sound from “Clip Gallery” then click “Sound from Gallery”. Then locate and insert the sound you wish.

If you want to insert sound from another location, click “Sound from File”. After that, locate the folder that contains your desired sound. Then double-click the sound file you want to add.

A sound icon will appear on slide.

You will also see a message displayed in front of you. If you want the sound to play automatically when you go on slide then click “Yes” but if you want the sound to be played only when you click icon during slideshow then click “No”.

If you want to preview sound in normal view, you can double-click the sound icon.
