Inserting YouTube Videos into PowerPoint Slides

If you want to communicate something in a better way through your PowerPoint presentation, then you can insert YouTube videos into your slides. These videos will definitely convey your ideas in more effective way so follow these steps to insert YouTube videos and movies into your slides:

First of all, you will have to download videos and then save them on your computer. Mostly, the movies which are available on YouTube are in flash video file format but you can convert the downloaded videos into any other common format like that in windows media video file (wmv), movie file (mpeg) or windows video file (avi).

Now open the PowerPoint presentation in which you want to insert a video file.

From “Insert” menu, click on “Movies and Sounds” and then choose the option “Movie from File”.

Select video which you want to insert into a slide and then click on “OK” button.

You will be asked a question “Do you want your movie to play automatically in slide show? If not, it will play when you click it”.

I will recommend you choosing OK button to play video automatically even if you don’t want so.

After saving your PowerPoint presentation, run it for a test.
